In the summer of 2023, IAI industrial systems B.V. has started the project for the Guyanese Citizen and Residence ID cards.
This project included a total deployment of 4 Element machines in collaboration with Veridos. Thereby, this project is the second project to be performed with the Element card personalisation system. The Element personalisation system is a desktop format machine that includes a 3W laser for this project and realizes high quality identity cards.
The factory acceptance test took place in June 2024 and the site acceptance test took place in September of the same year. With the planned issuance in 2025, approximately 120 cards per hour will be produced by IAI’s systems.
The Guyanese Citizen and Residence ID cards are completely personalised by the Element personalisation system of IAI industrial systems. This includes the following applications and technologies:

- Laser Engraving
- Multiple Laser Image
- Inkjet Printing
- CLIP ID
- Window Engravement
- Verification
